Whitnie Kuborn first discovered her love for teaching when she taught abroad in Costa Rica and Africa. After college she started her career as a first grade teacher in Denver, Colorado. Whitnie then decided to move closer to family and got a job in Wisconsin as a reading intervention teacher and an EL teacher. Whitnie has a degree in Elementary Education, EL education, a Masters in Education, and a reading intervention license. She has extensive experience in Structured Literacy instruction, teaching students from K4 to 5th grade. Along with her love for teaching, Whitnie also loves spending time with her family. She lives with her son, husband, and dog (Charlie) in Wisconsin. She enjoys hiking, traveling, and playing tennis. Whitnie is thrilled to be working with Literacy Tree and continuing to teach young readers.
