Shannon Arsenault

Ms. Shannon is a Reading Specialist and educator with more than 20 years of experience supporting struggling learners in public and independent school settings. She specializes in evidence-based, structured literacy instruction and has experience working with students with language-based learning differences, dyslexia, ADHD and executive functioning challenges. She believes effective literacy instruction, grounded in the Science of Reading, goes beyond building academic skills, it helps students develop confidence, and the skills they need to become successful learners. She holds a Master of Education in Curriculum and Teaching, is a licensed Reading Specialist in Massachusetts, a licensed Elementary Literacy Teacher in South Carolina, Wilson Reading System Level I Certified, and certified in multisensory literacy instruction through the Institute for Multi-Sensory Education (IMSE). Shannon and her husband currently live in South Carolina with their 11-year Old Shih Tzu, Ollie. When she isn’t teaching you can find her walking on the beach, cooking, or curled up with a good book.
