Elizabeth wood
Elizabeth Wood is a dedicated and passionate educator with a Ph.D. in Education and teaching certifications in Special Education and English Education. She has 21 years of experience in education as a special education teacher, teacher educator, and researcher. Her areas of expertise include special education, inclusion, language, and structured literacy, and she completed training in using the Orton-Gillingham approach. She has co-authored papers and book chapters that focus on literacy and special education, and she has presented at national and international conferences. Elizabeth currently serves as a teacher educator in higher education, where she teaches and supervises pre-service teachers. She believes every child deserves the opportunity to receive science-based literacy instruction and to experience the joy of reading. Elizabeth’s love of reading extends beyond the classroom, where you will often find her reading in her spare time. She lives in Pennsylvania with her husband, two children, and two dogs. Together, they love spending time outdoors, whether it’s in the mountains, on the farm, or at the beach. Elizabeth loves sharing her passion for reading and children’s literature with her family.
