Alicia King is a certified Reading Specialist with a Master’s degree in Language and Literacy. She has over seven years of experience as a Learning Support teacher, trauma-informed educator and Reading Specialist, supporting diverse learners across elementary grade levels. Alicia specializes in trauma-informed, evidence-based literacy instruction grounded in the Science of Reading and Structured Literacy practices. One of Alicia’s greatest strengths is her ability to build meaningful relationships with students and create safe, supportive learning environments where children feel understood, encouraged, and confident enough to take risks. She believes that strong relationships and high-quality instruction work hand in hand to create meaningful student growth, and that confidence comes before fluency.

Alicia has three children and lives in Pennsylvania with her family. Outside of teaching, she enjoys cooking, tackling DIY projects, spending time with her family, and finding creative ways to make things her own.
