Are you a SOR teacher who would love to make a difference by reaching children across the country who are falling through the cracks at school? Are you looking to make some extra income doing what you love?
If this sounds like you, then apply to be a part of the Literacy Tree team! We are a team of teachers who teach small groups of children online, using a curriculum that we wrote together using SOR methodology. We are looking for new team members to add your own expertise and flair, and help deliver this proven curriculum to the hundreds of students from around the country who sign up to work with us, in every single U.S. state! As you know, ⅔ of students in our schools require Structured Literacy to be able to learn to read - these students are flooding in and our schedules are packed! We need an ARMY! Let's change these kids' lives together!
The ideal candidate:
Has experience teaching SOR/Structured Literacy (preferably online)
Practices cultural humility and inclusive pedagogy
Is a team player and enjoys collaborating with colleagues
Would like to teach at least 4 hours per week after school hours or weekends including summer hours (note, this is NOT a summer only position)
ESL, Spanish or Dual Language is a strong plus
